The group has a membership of some seventy people, with an average attendance at each meeting of approximately 35-40. The committee is made of a small dedicated group of people who liaise with various bodies including the forestry commission, landmarks, local authorities, local ringing groups. The committee meets on the 1st monday of each month and in conjunction with the forestry commission lay out woodland management which carried out by a group of volunteers from landmarks and forestry enterprises, including coppicing, drive maintenance, maintaining flushes and tree felling. All the time the Forestry Commission are the lead body and make all major decisions.
